Micro-Market Questions, Answered Straight
These are the questions property managers actually ask — answered the way we'd answer them in your lobby. Anything missing, ask us directly.
The Basics
What exactly is GrabNGo?
A free, fully stocked micro-market amenity for your property.
We install a smart, cashless market, keep it stocked, maintain it, and handle everything end to end. Your tenants, employees, or guests get 24/7 access to drinks, snacks, and fresh items without leaving the building.
It's not vending, and it's not something you manage. Here's the full walkthrough of how it works.
Are micro-markets better than vending machines?
For most properties, yes — here's the honest version.
- Vending — cheaper for the operator, which is why it's everywhere. Coils jam, selection is narrow, and machines sit broken until someone complains.
- Micro-market — an open smart cooler. Tap a card, the door unlocks, grab what you want, close the door. Wider selection, no coils to jam, monitored in real time so it's never sitting empty.
Where vending still makes sense is very low-traffic spots — which is exactly why we qualify every site before installing.
What does a micro-market cost the property?
Nothing.
No purchase, no lease, no install fee, no maintenance cost, no stocking cost. We make our money on what sells inside the market, the same way a convenience store does — priced competitively with the stores nearby.
Is there really no catch?
No catch. We profit from product sales.
The service itself is free to your property, start to finish. The one scenario with a cost attached: if the market is performing and you want it removed inside the first year anyway, a removal fee applies (details under Money & Commitment).
Money & Commitment
Who owns and purchases the machine?
GrabNGo does, entirely.
We purchase, own, and finance every machine. You're never buying, leasing, or holding equipment — it's our asset on your property, fully our responsibility.
How long is the contract, and can I get out of it?
Three years on paper — but you're not locked in for all three.
- After year one — exit anytime with 90 days' written notice. No fee.
- Inside year one — still an option with written notice. A removal fee applies, because the machine was custom-placed for a longer run.
- If it underperforms — we relocate or remove it ourselves, at our expense.
Am I responsible if the machine loses money?
No. The financial risk is entirely ours.
You never carry the cost of an underperforming machine.
Do I get a share of the revenue?
Standard model is a free amenity with no revenue share.
That's what keeps the service free to you and prices low for your people. For special properties or multi-location deals, revenue share can be negotiated.
Space & Installation
How much space does a micro-market need?
About the footprint of a large refrigerator.
- Single unit — roughly 79" tall, 30" wide, 38" deep.
- Full setup (two fridges plus a pantry) — roughly 90" by 38" of floor space.
A typical lobby, break room, or entryway has more than enough room.
What do you need from my building?
A good spot, an outlet, and delivery access.
- A visible spot with foot traffic
- A standard 120V outlet nearby
- Reasonable access for delivery and restocking
That's essentially it.
How long until it's up and running?
Two to eight weeks from signing.
Each machine is custom-ordered to fit your space and your people. During install, an owner is on-site start to finish, and we schedule around your hours.
Does it block ADA access, hallways, or fire code?
No.
We place every machine with clearances, egress, and ADA access in mind — that's part of why we do an in-person walkthrough first. If a spot doesn't meet code, we don't use it.
What happens if the power goes out?
The machine handles it, and we know about it.
When power returns it comes back online on its own and reports to us automatically. If an outage is long enough to affect food safety, that product gets pulled on our next service — never sold.
Products & Pricing
Who decides what goes in the market?
We do, built around your people.
We start with proven sellers, then tailor the mix to your location — a gym gets a different lineup than a leasing office — and keep adjusting based on what actually sells.
Can my people request specific products?
Yes — every machine has a feedback QR code.
Anyone can request products or leave suggestions, and repeated requests get added wherever it makes sense. Property managers can also request specific products or categories directly.
Are the prices marked up because it's convenient?
No. Priced competitively with nearby convenience stores and gas stations.
The goal is for your people to choose staying in over making a run to the store.
What about expired or spoiled products?
Rotated oldest-first, and anything questionable is pulled immediately.
Refrigeration is temperature-monitored — if a cooler isn't holding, that product comes out.
Service & Maintenance
Who stocks and maintains a micro-market?
GrabNGo does — all of it.
- Restocking — demand-based, driven by real-time inventory tracking (typically 1–2 visits a week after the first month).
- Every visit — cleaning and an equipment check.
- Repairs — at our expense for the life of the placement.
What if it breaks?
24/7 support, and major repairs done within 72 hours once parts are in hand.
You never service, move, or troubleshoot the machine yourself.
What about theft or missing items?
That's our problem, not yours.
Ordinary theft and shrinkage are absorbed entirely by GrabNGo — you're never billed for missing product. The only thing on you is damage caused by your own staff or guests, same as any equipment on your property.
What if a customer has a problem or wants a refund?
Entirely on us.
Every machine has a posted QR code and phone number routed straight to GrabNGo. Your front desk is never in the middle of a transaction dispute.
Technology & Security
How do people pay?
Tap, grab, close the door.
Tap a card or phone to unlock, take what you want, and the door closes behind you. Charged automatically, receipt by text. No cash, ever.
Could it get broken into or vandalized?
It's built to resist tampering — and there's no cash inside to steal.
- The lock is integrated into the door frame
- The payment terminal is sealed in
- Every unit is monitored in real time, so we know immediately if something's wrong
Is my building's network at risk?
No.
The machine runs on its own cellular connection and doesn't need access to your network at all.
Exclusivity & Paperwork
Is there exclusivity?
Yes — GrabNGo is the exclusive micro-market and self-service amenity on your property.
That's part of what lets us invest in customizing the right setup. The one exception: any vendor or amenity already in place before us stays. We don't ask you to remove anything you already have.
What paperwork can you provide?
Whatever your property needs to onboard a vendor.
- Certificate of Insurance
- W-9
- The signed agreement
- Food handler certification and county health permit
If your building has a specific vendor packet, send it over and we'll complete it.
Trust & the Company
Are you insured?
Yes — full insurance on the machines and inventory, at no cost to you.
We can provide a COI or add you as additional insured before install.
Are you licensed to handle food?
Yes. Food handler certified, with a county health permit.
Who am I actually dealing with?
Joshua Haynes — the owner.
Every install, restock, and service call, personally. No call center, no investors, no franchise. Here's the longer version.
